'The Well' is an Italian horror film from Director, Federico Zampaglione. The film wastes little time getting going as we meet the characters and the basic story line is revealed. As the film moves along, we find out more about the Duchess and her secret to eternal beauty that comes at the cost of many lives. Like any other Indie film, this isn't a perfect film, but it was written well, It also has a good amount of atmosphere and creepiness to it, and it has what a lot of horror fans love, lots of blood and gore. So if you are not a fan of the latter, then I recommend passing on this one.
The cast did a great job, including Lauren LaVera(Terrifier 2), Claudia Gerini (Love and Bullets, John Wick: Chapter 2) and Giovanni Lombardo Radice (City of the Living Dead) to name only a few. 'The Well' arrived in select theaters on August 9 and will be on Digital and On Demand September 3, 2024 via Uncork’d Entertainment. This is a fun film that entertains from the beginning to its twist filled end. If you like horror, then this should give you a bloody good time.
