In SON, after a mysterious group of individuals breaks into Laura’s home and attempts to abduct her eight-year-old son, David, the two of them flee town in search of safety. But soon after the failed kidnapping, David becomes extremely ill, suffering from increasingly sporadic psychosis and convulsions. Following her maternal instincts to save him, Laura commits unspeakable acts to keep him alive, but soon she must decide how far she is willing to go to save her son.

'Son' tells the story of Laura and her young son, David. One night Laura hears noises coming from David's room and when she opens the door she sees a number of people in the room. Panicking she runs to the neighbors house and asks them to call the police. After returning she finds David on the bed but the people are now gone.

Shortly after David becomes very ill and the doctors have no clue what the boy is suffering from. When Laura sees the strange people again she takes David from the hospital and hits the road to find answers to her past in hopes of helping her son.

'Son' is a story and character driven horror film that moves at a slow pace as it slowly gives away Laura's secret past. If you like your horror with a lot of action then this is not going to be for you.

Instead 'Son' is a suspense filled, mystery that has numerous scenes in the film that are both creepy and disturbing. The opening scene is an example of what is to come and it immediately gets your attention. Needless to say I was hooked from the start all the way to its surprise ending.

'Son' will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on May 18. I highly recommend checking it out.
