Jamie Lancaster is the sole survivor of a blood-drenched massacre at a remote cabin. Claiming that her friends were torn apart by a horrific monster summoned by a ritual gone wrong, she is arrested by the local cops and locked up for a crime she didn't commit.
We soon discover that Jamie’s claims of innocence are all too real when the entire police station is ripped from our reality and thrown into a nightmarish dimension of Lovecraftian monsters hungry for human flesh. Jamie must team up with a bunch of rookie cops and lawbreakers to hack and slash their way through an army of monsters and find a way to get back home before it’s too late!
A cabin in the woods, Summoning monsters, a chainsaw carrying hero. No it is not "The Evil Dead." It is 'How To Kill Monsters' from director, Stewart Sparke who co-wrote the film with Paul Butler. The film is an over the top blood and guts horror/comedy that delivers on almost every level. The practical effects are amazing and so are the puppet monsters that are use in the film. The cast give as realistic as possible performance and the laughs and carnage just keeps coming. The film also has a number of clever twists and turns a long the way to keep you on your toes.
Think of "How to Kill Monsters' as Jim Henson meets the Evil Dead'. I had a great time watching this and it is sure to generate a cult following once word of mouth gets out.
The film will be in select theaters and nationwide on digital platforms and VOD December 6th so be sure to check it out. Released by Dark Sky Films
