The Place For The Latest Movie Reviews
Cast: Precious Chong, Alex Essoe, Tony Matthews
Two women befriend each other, but one becomes obsessed with the other.
'Homewrecker' tells the story of Michelle and Linda who meet in at a fitness class. When the meet again at a local coffee shop Linda forces herself on Michelle and site down right next to her.
After finding out that Michelle is an interior designer she asks her to come over to her place to see what she things about doing some design work. Michelle though uncomfortable with the idea agrees to go.
Linda is an out going person that constantly looks like she is about to snap and she is also pushy when it comes to Michelle's personal information as well. We find out the Michelle is a newlywed and seems to be having problems with having a child since her husband Robert doesn't seem all that interested in talking about it.
It doesn't take longer after arriving at Linda's house that Michelle quickly becomes a victim to the crazy Linda.
To talk too much about the film would only ruin the film for those wanting to see his thriller and often funny horror/comedy. This is Director, Zach Gayne's first feature film and he does a great job keeping the laughs and thrills coming while keeping the film moving at a good pace.
The film was written by Precious Chong, Alex Essoe and Zach Gayne. Chong also stars in the film as Linda and Alex Essoe stars opposite her as Michelle. Both actresses film amazing performances and they have great chemistry together which makes the film that much better.
'Homewrecker' may lack some logic but this is a great film to sit sit back and enjoy the craziness. It also has a major twist at around the 55 minute mark that changes everything.
'Homewrecker' will be in select theaters this Friday, June 26 and digital platforms/DVD July 7. I highly recommend this to everyone that loves both comedy and horror. It is fast paced thrill ride that doesn't disappoint.
Released by Uncork’d Entertainment and Dark Star Pictures.
