The Place For The Latest Movie Reviews
Cast: Mike Colter, Christina Chong, Steve Waddington
First off let me say I have never played any of the Halo games so I am reviewing this series made my Microsoft as just that. The series is of course put together on DVD and Blu-ray as a full length movie instead of being in episodes. It also introduces gamers to Jameson Locke who will be seen in the new Halo game.
Story wise it was predictable and most of the characters were not fleshed out enough to make you care if the live or die. That being said I did enjoy the film as a stand alone sci-fi flick. But it is far from perfect, besides the predictable story line some of the acting was a bit weak as well and I thought the effects would be better since the series had a decent budget to work with but in the end I felt they were decent enough.
I thought the film was an entertaining one, it reminded me of a lesser "Pitch Black" which I was fine with. If you are a fan of the video games you might have a completely different opinion about this but I do recommend checking it out regardless. Available on DVD and Blu-ray with Special Features that include:
Over 35 minutes of Behind The Scenes Footage
