In GREAT WHITE, a blissful tourist trip turns into a nightmare for five passengers when their seaplane goes down near a shipwreck. Stranded miles from shore in an inflatable life raft, they find themselves in a desperate fight for survival as they try to make it to land before they either run out of supplies or are taken by a menacing pack of sharks lurking just beneath the surface.
'Great White' is a typical shark film done on a lot budget. You don't watch this type of "SYFY Channel" films for their story or even their dialogue. You watch them for some good shark action and this film delivers enough of that to warrant at least a watch.
The film's cast including Katrina Bowden, Aaron Jakubenko, Kimie Tsukakoshi, Tim Kano and Te Kohe Tuhaka deliver good performances considering the lack of material they had to work with. The effects are on par with a SYFY movie so it could have been better but considering the low budget they are serviceable.
'Great White' is an average shark film that should provide enough entertainment for fans. Leave your brain at the door and you should have a good time. The film is available on DVD and Blu-ray now with Special Features that include:
