'Duchess' was directed by Neil Marshall, most will know him for his films, "Dog Soldiers" and 'The Descent' which are favorites among horror fans. 'Duchess' is an action/crime film that gets off to a great start and it gets the momentum going to entire time until the excellent final scene. Besides the action and suspense that keep you engaged the film also has a good number of twists and many characters involved in the story.

The film's entire cast were all terrific but it was Charlotte Kirk (The Lair) who played Duchess and , Philip Winchester (Strike Back) who played Roger are the true stars of the film. Charlotte Kirk who co-wrote the film with Neil Marshall and Simon Farr. Like any other film this is is not without its flaws but over-all I found it to be a film that got better as it moved with it hour and 58 minute run time. There are better films out there but I highly enjoyed this one and thought the action scenes were well done.

'Duchess' will be in Select UK Cinemas 9th August & available on Digital Download from 12th August. I highly recommend seeing it on the big screen if possible but if not be sure to check out this action packed Indie gem when it comes to VOD. Released by Vertigo Releasing
