Tormented by his past life, garbage man Clean (Adrien Brody) attempts a life of quiet redemption. But when his good intentions mark him a target of a local crime boss (Glenn Fleshler), Clean is forced to reconcile with the violence of his past.
'Clean' tells the story of a man who is attempting to move on from his violent and tragic past by doing good for his neighborhood and befriending a young girl who reminds him of his own daughter he lost. When the local gang gets the young girl high and attempts to rape her Clean takes them out including the local kingpin's son. Now on the run with the girl and her grandma Clean knows there is only one thing he can do. Take out the drug lord and his gang for once and for all.
Academy award winner, Adrien Brody stars, produces and co-wrote the film. Sadly Brody seemed to be a victim of the Oscar jinx so you don't get to see him much anymore but I have always been a fan of his and he does a terrific job playing Clean but he also handles the action scenes with ease.
The film takes a while to get going but it uses flashbacks to hint at Clean's past but it is not until later in the film that we find out all the details.'Clean' is an action/thriller about a man who is haunted by his past and is looking for redemption.
Besides Brody the film has an excellent supporting cast including Glenn Fleshler. The film isn't without its flaws but it is a solid revenge flick with a lead character you feel for. The action at times is swift but when it counts the most it is brutal and fun to watch.
'Clean' will be available on DVD & Blu-ray on May 10, 2022 so if you like a good action film then I recommend checking it out.
