Blood Riders is a blood soaked adventure comedy about 4 young friends who stumble upon a body after stealing a car. That discovery pushes the friends on a road trip around town during which they try get rid of the increasing amount of corpses. Along their wild ride the kids encounter neo-Nazis, punk artists, devil worshipers and a plan to resurrect Hitler.
Janek and Kyle are sick and tired of being put down and laughed at so in order to gain some respect they decide to steal a car. When Dane and Zoey see what the two were doing they decide to see what is going on. After a few mishaps the foursome finally get in and manage to steal a car but they did not know there was a dead body in the trunk. That dead body leads to another and then another and the group of friends become desperate to get rid of the bodies before they get caught but that means having to deal with a bunch of shady characters including a group of devil worshipers hell bent on resurrecting Hitler.
"Blood Riders: The Devil Rides With Us" is an awarding winning comedy/horror and after seeing it you will know why. The laughs start right from the start and it doesn't take long before the blood starts spraying as well. The great thing about it all is the neither ever ends until the credits start to roll.
There is so much going on you don't have any time to look away, there are plenty of funny lines in the film and there are numerous off the wall characters that are just a joy to watch. And then there's the blood, you get a lot of it as the body count continues to rise all the way to the end.
Another great thing about the film is the cast, Corey Lof, A.J. Morabito and Caitlynne Medrek are only a few of a large cast that delivers on their characters. And speaking of characters, Director, Lari Teräs managed to have well-developed characters between all the laughs and mayhem that is going on which was quite impressive. This is Lari Teräs' feature film debut behind the camera and I cannot wait to see what this talented film maker has coming next.
