I can go on about what happens in the film but that would only ruin the fun that awaits those wanting to see the the movie. Instead I will talk a bit about the movie itself. "Beyond The Mask" is a Christian based film that is playing in theaters across the country now. It opened with a record-setting on-demand box office this week with 50,000 pre-sold tickets in 360 theaters across the country. That is an amazing accomplishment and it shows the demand of Christian cinema is alive and well.
"Beyond The Mask" deliverers it's message of faith strongly but it is much more than that. This is a fun film with plenty of action and adventure that will simply blow you away. There is also a heartfelt romance going on as well and there is plenty of suspense, thrills and intrigue as well to keep you glued to the screen all the way to its breath-taking end.
To say I was impressed with the film is an understatement, I was blown away by everything about the film including its amazing production values and it's terrific set pieces and action scenes.
And then there is the incredible cast which includes, Andrew Cheney and Kara Killmer as Will and Charlotte as well as the always fantastic John Rhys-Davies as the evil Charles Kemp. The rest of the supporting cast all did a great job as well. Christian cinema has really come a long way but "Beyond The Mask" raises the bar not only for Christian based films but it even challenges Hollywood by creating a popcorn film that not only delivers on the action and thrills but it also delivers on a story that will have you at the edge of your seat the entire time and it leaves you wanting lots more as well.
