The Place For The Latest Movie Reviews
Cast: Odette Yustman, Zachary Gordon, Christine Lakin, Ernie Hudson, George Lopez
Puppy mayhem turns the lives of newlywed Chihuahua parents Papi and Chloe upside down when their rambunctious, mischievous puppies present one challenge after another. But when their human owners end up in trouble, the tiny pups will stop at nothing to save them - because in good times and hard times, the family always sticks together. So Papi, Chloe and the puppies embark on a heroic adventure, proving once again that big heroes come in small packages.
Any time a sequel to a film goes straight to DVD it makes you question just how good it can be and with this one the original human cast did not return so that too can make it very difficult but thankfully they decided to make the film about the animals instead and it turned out to be a decent second film that kids are sure to enjoy. This time around the family is in danger of having their house foreclosed by a banker who is a cat person so the dogs decide to raise the money themselves and save the day. First they enter a dog show but end up losing out to a poodle and there's plenty more blunders along the way and with them comes loads of fun laughs the entire family can enjoy together. The film sports an all-star cast, including George Lopez (voice of Papi) who is his hilarious self as always. Sure there are better Disney sequels out there but for what it is the film is highly entertaining and I suspect it will not be the last time we hear from these pups since family films are always welcomed and I see this doing very well on DVD and Blu-ray.
The film is available on DVD and a Two-Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo + Digital Copy. Both come with Special Features that include:
BD
Beverly Hills Chihuahua Challenge interactive trivia game
"This Is My Paradise" music video performed by Disney Channel's Bridit Mendler
Bloopers
DVD
"This Is My Paradise" music video performed by Disney Channel's Bridit Mendler

I am sure there will be some out there that give the film some negative feedback but if you're an parent and have little kids then I highly recommend picking this up. As we all know there can never be enough family entertainment.
