Bed and Breakfast is a romantic comedy about a saleswoman from a large department store in Rio who discovers she has inherited property in the wine country of California. She could never expect what she would find in “Webster”, a small country down.
"Bed and Breakfast" is about Jake who is remodeling an old home California in hopes of opening a bed and breakfast, the home belonged to an old woman who left him the place afraid she passed away. In another part of the world, Rio to be exact we meet Ana who has just found out her father passed away and left her with a huge debt but she also finds out her aunt left her a home in California, yes the same home Jake is remodeling. When she decides to head to states to get the place sold confusion happens and love ensues.
There nothing ground breaking here as far as the genre goes and the story is pretty predictable but because of the beautiful scenery, marvelous cast and the feel good story none of the obvious pitfalls seem to matter. There's a lot to like here and it starts with the cast, Dean Cain and Juliana Paes are both amazing as Jake and Ana, they are fantastic apart and show wonderful chemistry together as well. The supporting cast are terrific as well including, Bill Engvall, Julia Duffy, Jamie Anderson and Eric Roberts to name only a few.
Like I said before the story is predictable, it's your typical story of two people meeting under bad circumstances only to find love and a happy ending, but the characters are so likeable and the story is so charming and cute that it's irresistible. "Bed and Breakfast" makes for an entertaining time couples can enjoy together or alone, call it a chick flick but I think if given the chance men will find it enjoyable as well.
There's not a lot to say about the film since the story is pretty simple and you can see the end coming long before it happens but the journey there is fun, lively and entertaining to watch. If you enjoy a good comedy/romance then I recommend check this out, its makes for a relaxing and fun time. You can order the DVD HERE.
