The Place For The Latest Movie Reviews
Cast: Joanna Whicker, Steve Polites, Jon Hudson Odom, Joseph Carlson, Frank Riley III, Rayanne Gonzales
Beth is a waitress in a small town with dreams of a better life somewhere else. She is also trying to get her marriage back on track with her husband, Pete. Pete hasn't been the same since he has been back from serving time in the military. Beth hopes a home cooked meal and some alone time on their 2nd wedding anniversary will help re-ignite their relationship.
What seems like a nice quiet night turns into chaos when two armed men take the two hostage in their own home. Now the two must fight for their lives as things begin to take a turn for the worst.
'A Savage Nature' is a home invasion thriller from Director, Paul Awad who also co-wrote the film with his wife, Kathryn O'Sullivan. There has been countless home invasion films but what separates them from this one is the direction and the script.
The film wastes no time getting going. As it opens we are interested to Beth as she is being harassed in the diner where she works by two trouble makers. Thankfully the Sheriff is also there and quickly puts in end to it. You can sense that Beth is not very happy and you are immediately hooked as you get a small taste of whats to come.
I will not go into any more details here so not to ruin the film for those waiting to see it but make no mistake this is a thriller you won't soon forget about. Once the action starts in doesn't let up until the credits begin to roll. Also there is one twist after another all the way to the end.
'A Savage Nature' has won numerous festival awards including: Best Feature Drama – French Independent Film Festival
Best Thriller – Washington Film Festival
Best Feature Film – New Cinema-Lisbon Monthly Film Festival
Grand Prize Winner-Thriller – Hollywood Screenplay Contest Best Actress, Joanna Whicker – Los Angeles Crime and Horror Film Festival
Combine the direction and script with an amazing cast including, Joanna Whicker and Steve Polites and you have one of the best films of 2021. I highly recommend checking this out when it comes to Digital and Video On Demand 8/3/21.
