Alien Addiction follows Riko (Jimi Jackson) who lives in a small town in the middle of nowhere (Waikato, New Zealand). Life was pretty normal until two aliens crash landed near Riko’s house. He welcomes the aliens and together they develop an intergalactic relationship of epic proportions. Alientologist Peter Mackintosh (Thomas Sainsbury) has tracked the aliens and Riko, and plans to capture them and reveal them to the world.
'Alien Addiction' tells the story of Riko and his three buddies. All they seem to do is game and smoke weed. One day Riko's "crazy" Aunt tells him she saw Aliens and they are inside the walls. Riko knowing his Aunt just blows it off but when they appear in his bathroom while he is taking a shower he becomes a believer. Fining a drainage hose coming from his basement he decides to follow the hose into the woods and it leads him right to a crashed alien spaceship.
After climbing inside the craft he discovers two aliens inside and they some how hit it off and a new friendship begins. While all that is going on Alien expert, alien spotter Peter Macintosh is also heading to the site and once he discovers the aliens he wants to capture them and expose them to the world. Now it is up to Riko and his best friend to save the aliens but that won't be an easy task.
'Alien Addiction' is an adult themed sci-fi comedy that contains sexual related humor and it has two aliens that like to smoke human turds to get high. Yes, you read that right, You might think the film sounds like a gross and unfunny comedy but you would be wrong thanks to Writer/Director, Shae Sterling and his lead actor, Jimi Jackson who plays the perfect stoner and buddy to the stoners from space.
This is a low budget film but you would never know it. The film takes full advantage of the New Zealand landscape which is beautiful to look at. All while some of the material in the film might sound a bit much the film is an entertaining and often hilarious romp.
'Alien Addiction' will be available ON Demand, Blu-ray and DVD on September 29, 2020. If you like comedies like "Paul" and "Shaun of the Dead" then you are going to love this one. It is a guilty pleasure worth visiting again and again and again.
