The above synopsis is all you need to know before watching the film. In fact the more info about the plot would only ruin the film for those wanting to see it. '5th Passenger' sounds like an "Alien" like Sci-Fi but there is much more to the it than just an alien creature hunting and killing the crew. There is a story that keeps its secrets hidden until the last 15 minutes or so of the movie. It keeps the audience engaged and caring for each crew member in one way or another while you wait to see what their fate is going to be.
Besides telling the story of the crew the film also sends out social messages as well about equality and right to life to name only a few. It is a Sci-Fi film that gets the audience thinking which is rare in a film such as this. A number of the issues it hits on are more important now considering the way things are going today.
Another thing that made the movie so good was the cast, several actors were part of the "Star Trek" universe including Marina Sirtis, Tim Russ and Armin Shimerman. Morgan Lariah was incredible as Eve Miller, the pregnant non-citizen officer who is the sole survivor when their escape pod is found. The always amazing, Doug Jones also has a small appearance in the film as well.
'5th Passenger' grabs your attention right from the start and its excellent cast and amazing writing by, Scott Baker, Morgan Lariah and David Henri Martin keeps you engaged and focused the entire time. Director, Scott Baker also did a fantastic job keeping the film moving at a great pace while holding on to its major twists until late in the movie which will leave you shocked and stunned in a very good way.
'5th Passenger' is a Sci-Fi that will have you entertained and thinking about it long after it is over. I highly recommend checking out this amazing little film. You can find out where you can watch the film by visiting its official site HERE.
