"4/20 Massacre'tells the story of five women who go camping in the woods to celebrate a friend’s birthday over the 4/20 weekend. But when they cross the turf of an illegal marijuana growing operation they must struggle to survive the living nightmare.

As the film opens we see two men walking through the woods looking for an illegal weed farm. The guys luckily stumble on it and begin to fill their bags with as much weed as possible but out of nowhere a crazed maniac pops up and kills one of the guys for stealing his weed. The other runs off and the scene quickly shifts where we meet five female friends out on a camping trip to celebrate one of their birthdays. The day also happens to be 4/20, the national holiday for pot heads everywhere.

On their way to their camping site they run into a local park ranger who warns the girls about being in the woods but after they blow him off he tells them to make sure they stay on the paths and don't wonder into the woods. A little further they run into the guy with the stolen weed, he is frightened out of his mind and give the girls the bag and takes off. Sadly since the girls inherited the stolen weed they too will become the target of the madman out to kill all of them

'4/20 Massacre'is a horror/comedy that is sure to please all fans of the genre. The film starts off as expected, we get lots of humor and our first kill fairly early on to get the juices flowing but after a while things settle down a bit and we are introduced to the five ladies and are given all of their backgrounds as well. This is important because it allows us to get to know the girls and in return care for them and their well being. It is also rare for a horror film to spend an extended amount of time on character development and that is what separates this one from so many others.

Writer/Director, Dylan Reynolds knows how to make a horror film with a mix of gore and comedy but he really delivers on bringing the human side out. It might be a slasher film but at the center of it there is a story about five friends who struggle with friendship and relationships. The film has a number of cool kills and like I already said there is plenty of humor tossed in as well. The kill meter isn't all that high but they do fit in well with all the drama going on between the girls.

Another thing that made the film so entertaining was the cast. The five women in particular are amazing including, Vanessa Rose Parker, Justine Wachsberger, Stacey Danger, Marissa Pistone, and the always stellar, Jamie Bernadette. The rest of the supporting cast gave excellent performances as well but its the young ladies who carry the film with their realistic performances.

Production wise the film looks and sounds fantastic. Director, Dylan Reynolds takes the slasher film and makes it his own by adding real drama which is really rare in today's horror, especially when it comes to Hollywood. '4/20 Massacre' has the perfect blend of horror drama and comedy. I recommend it to all horror fans and to all of you that love 4/20.
